THE NFL, BELIEVE IT OR NOT…
This weekend in sports will be a remembered for decades to come. The unification of some players and some owners locked arm to arm, some players sitting and taking a knee. Even a couple of teams stayed inside the locker room while the national anthem was filing the air of the stadium. All these stances was to show orange face of the white house the statement he made in Alabama calling football players “Sons of Bitches” and the should be fired if they decided to protest.
Any player(s) protesting the flag and/or the anthem should be fired (he thinks the world is his apprentice show). From this it caused some uproar with most teams and owners sending a message to 45 that we don’t agree with you on this. Even basketball players like Lebron James, Steph Curry, Chris Paul and others chimed in denouncing his remarks basically saying kick rocks. War Veterans, tennis players and people posted pictures of them taking a knee.
The owner of NASCAR said anybody that protests will be fired and had Richard Petty backing up his statement, but Dale Earnhardt Jr. said otherwise. Dale has more sense not being petty like Richard (get it). But let’s get the whole situation straight for the ignorant ones who think all of this started over the anthem and flag. When Colin Kaepernick went from sitting and took a knee during the anthem it was and is to bring awareness to injustices and police brutality, not a piece of cloth.
But welcome to Amerikkka where you can say one thing and everybody else will twist it to what they want it to be about. I was reading an article by the brother Shaun King, what he said made a lot of sense because I was thinking the same thing after I calmed down and watched what really is going on with these weekend protest. I love the solidarity of the ones who participated in it but why did it take orange face to say sons of bitches and they should be fired to fire them up to protest?
Colin Kaepernick told everyone his reason of protesting which is enough to jump on board from the beginning. A lot of these football players; black football players turned a blind eye to his statement. Some took heed and showed their passion with Kaepernick. Owners of teams don’t won’t to have anything to do with him, they were mad at him like they found out he was a part of Isis. Player James Harrison of the Pittsburgh Steelers said “If you on my team and not standing for the anthem, it better be from a broken leg or I’m gonna give you one”. Threatens his team mates over CK protesting police brutality and he’s black. But he’s not the only one who made bold statements we have many more that talked against him, so what made them change their minds over sons of bitches?
Why now it felt like they had to do something? It’s simple, because they felt personally attacked. All of our black brother and sisters with other minorities of color being slaughtered like pigs by pigs on Amerikkka streets wasn’t an attack on them. We might have the same skin tone but our morals are totally different. The state that we are in right now should make any human with an ounce of conscious mad enough to punch a hole in the wall.
It shouldn’t take an asshole to speak to a crowd of Neanderthals which he been speaking to since running for president and say sons of bitches for you to take action. Even coon Ray Lewis took two knees which I don’t give a damn because he hangs and break bread with this racist now his sons of bitches statement made him upset. The pictured painted this weekend looks good to the naked eye, but the painting has flaws in it.
It’s crack in their thoughts that needs serious repairing. Now the question is was this a onetime thing? Are they going to continue or they felt they have proved their point and it’s no reason to continue on with this. Only time will tell because this is a beautiful photo op for the world to see. Very encouraging for the younger generation to understand unity in the face of diversity, but if these players who wasn’t with the protesting at first now accept they have a due diligence to people that looks up to them. It’s on them to succeed or fail all the eyes that’s keeping a close eye on what’s happening and how will they respond.
